In honor of the ten year anniversary of the late Larry Del Santo, the Larry Del Santo Blue Sky Memorial Golf Tournament stands as a testament to his enduring legacy.
Larry was larger than life. He was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a person whose character left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His generosity, humor, and unwavering loyalty made him someone people were proud and honored to call a friend.
This tournament brings together family, friends, and community not only to celebrate the game Larry loved, but also to celebrate the man himself. The first memorial tournament is Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Blackhawk Country Club.
Remembering Larry Del Santo
Larry Del Santo lived life with authenticity, passion, and a deep commitment to the people around him. Whether someone knew him for decades or only a short time, his impact was unmistakable. He had a rare ability to bring people together, make others feel valued, and build friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Above all else, Larry was a devoted family man whose love and loyalty defined who he was. Born on June 3, 1957, Larry is survived by his wife, Kelli Harrigan Del Santo; their children, Larry, Cat, and Will, and their partners, Chris, Nik, and Charlie; and four grandchildren, with a fifth on the way. He is also survived by his eleven siblings, their partners, and thirty eight nieces and nephews. His larger than life personality, generosity, and unwavering love extended well beyond his immediate family to his extended family, friends, and the wider community.
An alumnus of St. Francis High School in La Canada and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Larry carried the values of his Catholic education into every aspect of his life. He lived each day to the fullest, and his deep appreciation for life was infectious to everyone around him.
Larry was an active member of his community and a devoted parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Danville. He was a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and helped found Catholics At Work. He was also a member of the Golden Gate Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Larry loved spending time outdoors, especially on the golf course, and was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants.
Those who knew Larry remember not only his presence, but the way he made people feel. Welcomed. Respected. Proud to call him a friend.

The first annual Larry Del Santo Blue Sky Memorial Golf Tournament is more than a day on the course at Blackhawk Country Club. It is an opportunity to gather, share stories, and honor the life of someone who meant so much to so many.
Set beneath the open sky Larry loved, the event celebrates the friendships he built and the legacy he leaves behind.

Registration Opens
Join us as we kick off the Larry Del Santo Blue Sky Memorial Tournament with a warm welcome and an easy registration process. Pick up your player’s kit, check in with the tournament team, and spend some time reconnecting with friends and fellow participants before the day begins. It is the perfect start to a day of camaraderie, great golf, and honoring Larry’s legacy.

Lunch
Enjoy a relaxed pre tournament lunch while gathering with many of Larry’s favorite people. Take this time to fuel up before heading to the course, reconnect with friends, and share stories and memories that celebrate Larry’s life and the friendships he cherished.
12:00 PM
Shotgun Start for Golfers
Golfers will take to the course with a shotgun start at 12:00 PM. Enjoy a memorable round of golf on a beautiful course while competing in honor of Larry. The afternoon promises great golf, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs along the way.
4:00 PM
Cocktail Hour
After the round, join us for cocktail hour as players and guests gather to relax and reconnect. Enjoy drinks, light bites, and conversation as we celebrate a great day on the course and the friendships that brought us together.

Dinner
Following the day’s play, guests will gather for dinner to celebrate the tournament and the life of Larry Del Santo. Share stories from the course, recognize tournament highlights, and raise a glass in remembrance of Larry. It is a special moment to reflect on the day and the enduring friendships and memories that continue to carry his legacy forward.
The Scholarship
All proceeds from the Larry Del Santo Blue Sky Memorial Golf Tournament will support the establishment of the Larry Del Santo Memorial Scholarship Fund at Loyola Marymount University. The scholarship will honor Larry’s legacy by providing financial assistance to deserving students for years to come.
The scholarship will reflect the values Larry lived by each day. Faith, family, integrity, hard work, and a deep commitment to helping others. Through this fund, future generations will have the opportunity to further their education while carrying forward the spirit of generosity and community that defined Larry’s life.
Each year, the scholarship will recognize worthy recipients who demonstrate strong character, dedication, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
